South Central Indoor Hockey Tournaments –
December 2026
Tournament dates, venues and entry information
Indoor Hockey UK and South Central Hockey have worked hard to coordinate the Area’s indoor hockey tournaments for the 2026/27 season, given the limited number of sports halls available in South Central.
Organising these competitions is a significant challenge. We are restricted to allocated central calendar dates, with two weekends available in December in theory. In practice, however, clubs are understandably reluctant to postpone outdoor league fixtures or commit to two-day indoor qualifiers.
We must also ensure that sufficient umpires are available across all the tournaments. With several competitions taking place over the same weekend, particularly on Sunday 13 December, fitting everything into the available time and venues is a considerable logistical exercise.
Despite these challenges, we have secured the following venues and dates.
Tournament schedule
| Competition | Date | Venue | Maximum entries |
| Men's | Saturday 12 December | Bedales | 10 teams |
| Women's | Saturday 12 December | St Helen & St Katharine | 6 teams |
| U16 Boys | Sunday 6 December | Bradfield | 6 teams |
| U16 Girls | Sunday 13 December | Bradfield | 6 teams |
| U18 Boys | Sunday 13 December | St Helen & St Katharine | 5 teams |
| U18 Girls | Sunday 13 December | KES Southampton | 6 teams |
The maximum capacity across all six tournaments is 39 team entries.
Entry fees
The entry fee is £60 per team.
Important: places are limited
Unfortunately, there is no scope to increase the maximum number of teams shown for any tournament. The available halls are fully committed, and no alternative venues are available within South Central on the allocated central calendar dates.
Sunday 13 December will be particularly challenging, with three tournaments taking place at different venues and significant demands on our umpiring resources.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams are encouraged to submit their entries as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
If demand exceeds the available places, some teams may be unable to participate. We appreciate that this may be disappointing, but the Area has no additional capacity to accommodate further entries.
