An Evening with Keely Dunn
Keely Dunn is the founder of FHumpires which provides support and mentorship to umpires all over the world, whether newbies umpiring in their first season, through club umpires with 20 years of experience, to international FIH umpires.
On Tuesday 9th April, 2024 from 7pm to 9pm Keely will be at Wallingford Hockey Club's clubhouse for a lively seminar and Q&A, and she will be at Havant Hockey Club on Wednesday 10th April. If you've ever heard Keely speak, you'll know that this will definitely be a fun way to spend an evening.
This is not your usual seminar!
Topics to be covered include:
- How can your positioning on the pitch help you get the big decisions right and ensure that you and the players all enjoy a great day of hockey?
- When and why should you use cards? Do you feel uncertain about when to move up or down with management interventions, but are worried that giving cards will cause a match to spiral out of control?
But this evening is intended to be your evening, so please let us know if you have any topics you would like to be discussed. Other topics will crop up during the Q&A session, but if you can let us know in advance, so much the better!
Umpires, players and coaches from any club all welcome - please use this sign up form. You can get a flavour of the event by watching a recording of a similar event held at Reading Hockey Club in September 2023. If you know anyone else, particularly your umpire colleagues of any standard, please forward this message onto them.
