Womens

South Central Open/Men`s O55.

If you are interested in representing the South-Central Open/Men`s O55 at the Divisional Tournament hosted by the East Region on Saturday 16/17 May 2026, please email the Manager Jeremy Clarke  clarksportsuk@hotmail.co.uk 

Trials will be held on Sunday 16th November at a venue in Reading and again in February, with warm up matches before the Tournament next summer. 

If you believe you have the fitness and skill level to represent the South – Central then please email Jeremy with your full name, home address and your club. 

Please note a small fee for the cost of the pitch and equipment will be charged.
Once your email is received, I will send full details.     
   
We need to work around a very packed hockey calendar already, the league, cup, and other hockey commitments, plus the usual family holidays does reduce what we can do.

South Central Men`s O65s.

Open Men O65's are Managed by Colin James cjames555@hotmail.co.uk, who has arranged some county based warm up matches for two squads. The competition has both a cup, shield and plate competition, so both teams should get at least 3 games.  The competition dates (slip dates) are as follows:

South Central Men`s O70s.

Peter Cowen peter.r.cowen@btinternet.com is the Open Men's O70's Manager and has planned for trial to take place in 2026 at Reading Hockey Club

For Tuesday 10^th March –  South Central O70s trials will take place on Pitch 1 from 11am to 1pm (2 hours pitch time)

Arrive: for 10:30am

Intros: in the Reading HC Bar area at 10:45am over tea / coffee

Warm up: Pitch 1 at 11am

First game: 11:15 (1 X 30mins)

Second game: 12:00 (1 X 30mins)

Routines Run-through: 12:40 – 1pm (As directed by the selectors - Gavin Stones / Richard Slator / Graham Jackson)

Showers & Teas: In the RHC Clubhouse Area …

Depart: 2pm 

For Thursday 2^nd April –  the selected South Central O70s squad (of 18-20) will be ready to play any suggested format (against London O70s and England O75s A & B squads) at Reading Hockey Club.  

Meet up: 10am (over tea / coffee in the RHC Bar Area)

Intros: 10:30am

Warm up: 10:45am (Pitches 1 & 2)

First games: 11am (2 x 15mins + 5 mins half-time) – SCO70s V England O75s A on pitch 1 and London O70s V England O75s B on pitch 2

10mins for change over between games

Second games: 11:45am (2 x 15mins) – SCO70s V England O75s B on pitch 1 and London O70s V England O75s A on pitch 2

10mins for change over between games

Third games: 12:30am (2 x 15 mins + 5 mins half-time) – SCO70s V London O70s on pitch 1 and England O75s A V England O75s B on pitch 2

Warm down / Showers / Teas: 1:10 onwards in the RHC Clubhouse Area 

This would mean 2.5 Hours of pitch time – well clear from the pitches by 2pm.
