South Central Hockey’s Masters programme continues to go from strength to strength, with representative squads once again enjoying an outstanding season across the England Hockey Masters competitions.

Competing against some of the strongest regions in the country, South Central teams have demonstrated exceptional commitment, teamwork, and quality throughout a series of highly competitive tournaments.

Gold Medal Success

This season has already delivered two outstanding championship performances:

Open/Men’s Over 55s – Gold Medal Winners

The South Central Open/Men’s Over 55 squad produced a superb campaign to secure gold, showing resilience, experience, and outstanding team spirit throughout the tournament. Their achievement reflects the high standard of Masters hockey within the region and the dedication of everyone involved.

Women’s Over 55s – Gold Medal Winners

The South Central Women’s Over 55 squad also claimed gold following an excellent series of performances against strong opposition. Their success highlights the continued growth and strength of women’s Masters hockey across the South Central area.

Success Across the Age Groups

The success has not been limited to the gold medal-winning squads. Other South Central representative teams have also delivered impressive performances throughout the season, achieving:

  • Silver medals
  • Bronze medals
  • National finals appearances
  • Strong group stage performances against elite regional opposition

Across every age category, South Central players have represented the area with pride, professionalism, and determination.

A Thriving Masters Programme

South Central Hockey proudly supports representative teams across multiple age groups for both Open/Men’s and Women’s hockey, with players drawn from clubs across the region.

The programme continues to:

  • Promote lifelong participation in hockey
  • Develop strong regional identity and camaraderie
  • Provide competitive opportunities for experienced players
  • Support pathways into national and international Masters hockey

Thank You

These achievements would not be possible without the support and commitment of:

  • Team managers
  • Coaches
  • Umpires
  • Volunteer organisers
  • Host clubs
  • Supporters and families

South Central Hockey extends its congratulations to every player and volunteer involved in this season’s Masters campaigns.

Looking Ahead

With more tournaments still to come this season, South Central squads will continue to compete for honours across the country.

The success already achieved reflects the strength, depth, and passion for hockey that exists throughout the South Central region — and there is still more to come.
